Bond-Rite® Range
Bond-Rite range overview
It was the innovative step of mounting a high-intensity flashing green LED indicator in the clamp that enabled the patent for this concept. Since the product launch in 2001, this concept has evolved into a range of solutions that still encompass the original objectives of the Bond-Rite® while meeting the installation and application flexibility demanded by our customers.
The Bond-Rite® range solutions align site operators with IEC TS 60079-32-1 “Explosive atmospheres – Part 32-1: Electrostatic hazards, guidance”* where 10 ohms or less is cited as a guidance electrical resistance threshold for metal equipment requiring static earthing or bonding in EX hazardous areas.

*Also specified as PD CLC/TR 60079-32-1 for EN purposes.

The Bond-Rite® CLAMP can be used in a variety of application scenarios that involve the use of a wide range of metal objects that require static earthing. The Bond-Rite® CLAMP contains a green LED indicator, housed in a stainless steel clamp body, that flashes continuously, informing operators that an earth connection of 10 ohms or less is in place prior to and during the operation being carried out.
The Bond-Rite® REMOTE adds increased levels of installation flexibility by providing site operators with a wall mounted indicator station so that processes which could impair operator visibility of the LED mounted in the clamp (e.g. coating or resin deposits from mixing or filling operations) are mounted a safe distance from the operation.
The Bond-Rite® EZ is a flexible portable bonding solution that can be used in a wide range of application settings where fixed earthing system installation points are not possible. It consists of the Bond-Rite® EZ used in conjunction with a range of connection options and a 2-core spiral or straight cable.
