Installation:

The Universal Power Supply (UPS) can be mounted in designated Safe Areas or Zone 2/22 Ex atmospheres. 2 core IS cable runs from the left hand side of the enclosure into the Ex area.

Depending on the number of indicator stations required by the customer, the IS cable can be routed through the standard 4-way marshalling junction box or the 10-way marshalling junction box used on other Newson Gale systems.

From the marshalling junction box, the cable is routed to the Bond-Rite REMOTE indicator stations, where the IS current carrying cable enters through the top of the indicator station enclosure.

The Ground Loop Monitoring cables are routed by Quick Connects through the sides of the indicator station enclosure. X90-IP or X45-IP static earthing clamps and cable are connected to the indicator station through the standard Junction Box Quick Connect which is located in the bottom of the indicator station.

A total limit of 500 metres of 2 core cable is recommended for a complete installation.
