Continuous Ground Loop Monitoring - ensures static will not accumulate on the equipment:
Each individual indicator station contains an electronic circuit that monitors the resistance of the Loop between the earthing clamp and the equipment to be earthed and the connection to the designated earthing point (see illustration). When this resistance is equal to, or less than, 10 Ohms the LED in the indicator station pulses continuously informing the operator that it is safe to begin the operation. The LED will continue to pulse during the process until the earthing circuit is broken, by removal of the clamp from the equipment.
Monitor up to 10 items of plant equipment independently - high spec but cost effective:
This development will permit a customer to monitor up to 10 items of plant equipment at risk of accumulating electrostatic charges. The total cost to the customer of a Bond-Rite REMOTE EP in GRP monitoring 8 items of plant will be up to 30% less expensive than the same number of stations using the Bond-Rite REMOTE in stainless steel.
Flexible Installation - help delight both the equipment specfier and the electrician:
A new development is the ability to mount the UPS in a Zone 2/22 environment. If a local safe area is not present, the customer may be able to identify a Zone 2/22 location to mount the power supply in the Ex area.
The UPS can run off both 240 V and 110 V AC current and provides more flexibility for ordering, stocking and after sales technical support.
The lightweight GRP indicator station can be mounted in a variety of locations within Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 hazardous atmospheres.

Continuous Ground Loop Monitoring ensures hazardous electrostatic charges cannot accumulate on the plant equipment, ensuring uncontrolled incendive static spark discharges do not occur by contact with other potentially earthed objects.
ATEX / FM appoved clamps and cables - robust enough to to make positive contact to 10 ohms:
Both the X90-IP and X45-IP 2-pole clamps carry ATEX and FM approvals for use in hazardous areas. These approvals ensure the clamp is capable of maintaining positive contact with the plant equipment even if there are unexpected vibration or pulling forces acting on the clamp or cable when the process is underway.
